Under-age popes and meddlesome empresses, bloodthirsty
warlords and inspired holy men once gazed upon a very different Roman
skyline from the one we see today. Join us as we learn about that era
and trace that bygone version of the city. This tour will search out
those lofty towers and imposing fortresses which are still visible in
and around Rome. While doing so, we will chart the rise and fall of the
towers and the families who built them.
