CCR Book Club - November

Thank you all for attending our first meeting of the season which was held at Margot de Meo's house! Margot graciously hosted a crowd of Book Club Members & CCR Members for a talk given by writer Alexandra Richardson, after which we had a wonderful pot luck dinner & discussed the first book of the season, David Lodge's Deaf Sentence.

This month's book for discussion is Kathyrn Stockett 2009 novel The Help.
In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women--mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends--view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

When: Friday, November 26, 2010
Time: 7:30pm
Where: Françoise Rastel's house at Via Palermo, 73
Françoise's home number is 06 488 1540
