CCR Remote Lecture: the Pantheon and the Sun - June 19, 2020

For centuries people have marveled at the Pantheon, and its purpose. One theory is the design is connected to the sun’s cycle. Was this the only monument like this, or were there others? As the summer solstice draws closer we look at ways in which the solar cycle has been celebrated in Rome through the centuries.
