Well just as I predicted the Holiday Gala is now sold out and this in less than 10 days. Tickets went fast and many members bought tickets the minute they went on sale. We are pleased that so many of our members and friends will be joining in this festive event. This will be our last event for 2009, but we are already planning many exciting things for 2010.
Stand-Up Revolution the Gospel and Hip-Hop show was an amazing evening and so positive and energetic, a shot in the arm. Something we all need. The CCR Members attending were all very pleased and we are happy to have been able to organize such a fun event.
This past weekend CCR members met at Wendy Holloway's B&B "Flavor of Italy" in Riano for a wonderful day of cooking and eating Italian dishes with a twist - not the same old recipes but Italian to the core. In the spirit of the CCR, men and women worked as a team under the helpful instructions of Chef Wendy preparing various dishes in a vast professional kitchen using the best ingredients in a fun and creative atmosphere. The B&B is located on a hill boasting a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. These cooking classes are not to be missed, we will have our next experience in great Italian cooking on January 31st. Stay tuned for more details.
Finally I would like to thank all the members who have renewed their membership for 2009-2010. We also have a record number of new members and this is very encouraging. For those of you who have not renewed their membership, please note that you can no longer avail yourself of lower prices for activities of the CCR and will have to pay significantly higher prices for our events.
