Our exploration of Roman aperitivo locations is now taking us to the ultimate emporium of Italian food excellence, Eataly. This location is the biggest in the world and boasts both a vast range of high-quality foods and a number of food outlets.
We'll be meeting in the "Vino Libero" wine bar for a delicious buffet of high-quality foods selected by Eataly's executive chef, accompanied by a choice of beverage -- a glass of selected wine or craft beer (a different Italian region is featured each week) or a standard cocktail (such as a spritz) or a soft drink (such as Lurisia brand aranciata, etc.).
The "Vino Libero" concept seeks to promote wines that are produced free of artificial fertilizers and weed-killers and that contain at least 40% less than the sulphite levels allowed by law.
When: Wednesday, November 5, 2014
Time: 6:30 p.m. on
Where: Vino Libero area, 2nd floor of Eataly, in the former Air Terminal Ostiense, Piazzale XII Ottobre 1492
Cost: €10 (includes 1 drink and appetizer buffet)
Note: No reservations or separate payment needed for this casual get-together. If you arrive on the early side, we're more likely to get seating closer together. You could also take the opportunity before or after to browse the selection of products, as Eataly Rome is open until midnight!
