AICR Special Visit: Finnish Institute at Villa Lante - April 18, 2016

The American International Club of Rome has organized an exceptional visit, free to its members, of a beautiful and normally off-limits location in Rome -- and it has very kindly extended an invitation to our members!

On the morning of Monday April 18th, the group will have a guided tour of Villa Lante, which houses the Finnish Institute, on the Gianicolo (Janiculum) Hill. Tour guide Leena Knuuttila will allow us to explore this architectural gem designed by Giulio Romano and decorated by other artists from Raphael's school, including Vincenzo Tamagni da San Gimignano, Polidoro da Caravaggio, and Maturino.

Only a limited number of CCR members in good standing may participate in this wonderful opportunity.

When: Mon., Apr. 18, 2016
Time: 10:30 a.m. sharp (meet at 10:15am)
Cost: free, open only to current CCR and AICR members
Where: Villa Lante -- the exact location and meeting point will be confirmed to registered participants the week of the event.
RSVP: canadarome@gmail.com ATTN Diana by Thu. Apr. 14th.
