Discovered only in 1923 when construction began for a building on Via Livenza and Via Po, the Via Livenza Hypogeum is a wonderful example of intriguing, vivid paintings suggesting the varied and cosmopolitan set of religious beliefs of Late Imperial Rome. Come discover this little known gem just outside the Aurelian walls and learn about the various theories on its origin. Visits to the
hypogeum are by special request only, hence there will be a supplementary 4 euro entrance fee.
