Art Talk with Olivia: Overview of Vermeer's life and times - October 26, 2012

A very special exhibition has opened at the Scuderie del Quirinale. Entitled "Vermeer: il secolo d'oro dell'arte olandese" (27 Sept. to 10 Jan.), it brings together rare works held in far-flung museums and this is the first time Italy has ever seen a monographic exhibition focusing on this fascinating 17th-century artist. CCR is therefore offering a slide show and talk to flesh out the background, historical context and ideas which lie behind some of the main works on show.
