Our summer meeting will take place at lunchtime on Sunday, July 16th, on another lovely terrace, this time near Piazza Cavour. The book for July’s meeting is "Blood, Bones, and Butter: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef" by Gabrielle Hamilton (also available in the Italian translation [Bompiani] as "Sangue, Ossa e Burro: L’Educazione Involontaria di uno Chef"). The author is a famous chef and the owner of Prune, a well known restaurant in the East Village of NYC. The novel describes her family, her adolescence, her marriage into an Italian family, and the road she took to becoming chef. Read the NY Times review of this book here.
