Halloween Walk: Roman Ghosts - October 31, 2026

Prepare to be shocked and terrified this Halloween! Come and join a really unusual twilight ghost walk with Olivia along the Tiber in Rione Ripa. Equipped with sheets and lanterns, each participant will “adopt” the identity of one of many mysterious and fascinating Roman ghosts as they congregate to haunt the Tiber’s riverbanks. Meet these mysterious characters from local folklore and hear their scary true stories. Those who wish can also follow the group for a cheerful evening meal after the walk.

NB: This walk is not suitable for young children because the historical events are real and can be disturbing for them.

When: Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026
Time: 5:30 p.m. (please arrive by 5:15)
Meeting Place: registered participants will be informed by email of the exact spot along the river. 
Cost: Guided walk for CCR members €10, non-members €15. Optional dinner will be no-host, paid separately by each participant.

Trunk-or-Treat Halloween for CCR Kids - October 31, 2019

Once again this year, the Canadian Embassy is welcoming CCR members with children to participate in their great Trunk-or-Treat Halloween party. It features fabulously decorated car trunk where kids can go trick-or-treating in a secure, friendly area. Both children and adults wear costumes!

Please note that this event is only open to CCR members and their children and only a limited number of spots are available to CCR.

Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Party - October 25, 2018

Fun for kids and adults, including a pumpkin carving contest, best trunk prize, music, pizza, snacks and drinks. And of course children can go trick-or-treating from one decorated car trunk to the next.
If you would like to submit your decorated trunk or enter/order a pumpkin for the pumpkin carving contest, please let us know in advance, as we will have the pumpkins available for pick up about a week before so you can get creative with them! Details on the pick up times and location will be sent to contestants.

Please note that this event is only open to CCR members and their children or grandchildren. Net proceeds from the event will go to charity.

Fun for kids and adults, including a Scary Bake Sale, Carve for a Cause (Pumpkin Carving Contest), Best Trunk prize, music, pizza, snacks and drinks. And of course children can go trick-or-treating from one decorated car trunk to the next.

If you would like to submit your trunk for the Trunk Decorating Contest or enter/order a pumpkin for the Carve for a Cause pumpkin carving contest, please let us know by October 18th. We will have the pumpkins available for pick up by around October 24th so you will have almost a week to get creative with them! Details on the pick up times and location will be sent to contestants.

Snacks and drinks will be available but we will also be having a charity bake sale; if you would like to contribute a scary treat please let us know.

Join the CCR and the Canadian Embassy for a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event! Children will be able to trick-or-treat and play games on the secure premises of the embassy and there will be pizza, drinks and candy for everyone. Decorate your car trunk to compete for the Scariest Trunk prize, enter the carving contest for the Most Creative Jack-o'-Lantern or take part in the Scary Bake Sale!

All proceeds from this event will be split between Project Rome (CCR's charity this season) and the Government of Canada’s Workplace Charitable Campaign.

Attendance at this event is limited to embassy staff and families, and to Canadian Club of Rome members and their children and friends.

Halloween Trunk-or-Treat at the Canadian Embassy - October 31, 2014

Join the CCR and the Canadian Embassy for a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event! Children will be able to trick-or-treat and play games on the premises while snacks, hot chocolate and drinks will be served on our patio. All parents with children -- and grandparents with grandchildren! -- are welcome!

This event is part of the Government of Canada’s Workplace Charitable Campaign; all proceeds from the evening will be donated to La Casa di Peter Pan. 

Attendance at this event is limited to Canadian Club members and their children and to non-member guests accompanying CCR members.

Oktoberfest Hallowe'en - October 30, 2012

Oktoberfest is turning into Hallowe'en, so come celebrate both with the CCR! We'll be meeting at SLIM, with its bar and terrace. Salute Bavarian Oktoberfest with a beer, or sip a spooky cocktail. Nibble on snacks. Show off your lederhosen or your Hallowe'en duds. And party!

Bus lines 80, 80D, 38 and 89 stop at Corso Trieste and Via Adige, two blocks south of Tagliamento. Trams #3 and #19 stop at Piazza Buenos Aires (Regina Margheria and Po/Tagliamento, four blocks west of Adige).
