360-Degree Reverie! - Official Season Closing Party - June 25, 2019

We're going to gaze out over another fabulous Roman panorama during our Official 2018-2019 Season Closing Party this year.

Many thanks to Air Canada for sponsoring this event. This is an enormous benefit to participants at this gorgeous party and further proceeds and fundraising during the event will be donated to the current CCR charity.

Let's Celebrate Canada and Summer!

By May 29th Victoria Day - that peculiar and very Canadian holiday - will have just past and Canada Day our celebration of nationhood will be fast approaching. Its an end-of-spring-start-of-summer kind of time. And CCR members Rachel Rennie and Allen Rahman have planned an end-of-spring-start-of-summer Bar-B-Q at Allen and Farhana’s country home, Villa Maple Woods, just over an hour’s easy drive away from Rome at Colle Rosso in the Abruzzo region. You may remember from previous events that Rachel is a native Scot and Allen a Canadian of north-east Indian origin. In the past they have combined their talents, Rachel as a Scotch whisky connoisseur, Allen as a talented Indian chef, to provide some interesting and appetizing events at which some of you have been present.

Single malt Scotch whisky will not predominate as the drink of choice at the Bar-B-Q although a selection of malts will be available along with nosing and drinking tips for those who just can’t resist the temptation! Allen and Farhana’s ‘on the house’ wine - a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo will be served, as will beer and soft drinks.
