Let’s raise a glass to summer on Cinema Barberini's fashionable rooftop. This multi-level venue will give you a unique perspective on Via Veneto and Piazza Barberini while you sip one of their signature drinks accompanied by sophisticated finger food.

Terrace Top Aperitivo - June 16, 2022

We're back with our aperitivo get-togethers, and now that it's gotten hotter, we'll head to a terrace top to cool off in the early evening! This location near Saint Paul's Basilica has had great reviews thanks to the quality of their drinks and food options, like the "super piattone per 2" (platter of appetizers for 2) and the "piattone vegetariano" (vegetarian platter for 1). Let us know whether you'd like us to book you a spot!

Aperitivo with a View - November 5, 2020

Cancelled due to government anti-COVID restrictions. Have you seen the view of the Basilica of St. Mary Major (Santa Maria Maggiore) from above? Here's your chance to soak in this wonderful view of Rome while catching up with CCR members and friends.

The hotel's rooftop terrace is outdoors and seating respects anti-COVID rules, but we can still be warm and cozy because it is equipped with heat lamps!

Where: "La Terrazza dei Papi Roof Garden Restaurant" at the Mecenate Palace Hotel, Via Carlo Alberto 3 (halfway between Termini and Cavour metro stations)

CCR 2013-2014 Season Opening Luncheon - September 29, 2013

Last year we held our holiday season dinner in the gorgeous rooftop restaurant at Hotel FortySeven, over-looking the Arch of Janus, the Roman Forum, the Tiber and the Temples of Portunus and Hercules in the Forum Boarium. Now we'll get the chance to enjoy all this splendour during the day, as the Canadian Club of Rome holds its official 2013-2014 Season Opening with a luncheon at Hotel FortySeven's top-ranking Circus Restaurant.  

Our menu, prepared by celebrated Chef Vito Grippa, will feature “Filetti di pesce spada alle erbe con orzo perlato ai pomodori datterini e basilico” (swordfish filets with herbs and pearl barley with cherry tomatoes and basil). Dessert will be “Semifreddo al thè verde macha con ananas all'anice stellato e zenzero in agrodolce” (frozen macha green tea dessert with pineapple scented with star anise and sweet and sour ginger). Wine, mineral water and coffee will be served.
