Summer Season Reception - June 17, 2026

Join us for our traditional garden reception as the 2025-2026 club season draws to a close and we catch up before people start leaving on their summer travels and other plans. Our heartfelt thanks to Canada's Ambassador to the Holy See, Joyce Napier, for graciously hosting our cocktail party at her beautiful Official Residence.

Price: €35 for current CCR members, €45 non-members; payment in advance.

N.B. This event is open to non-member guests only if accompanied by fully paid and registered CCR members.

Security: Mandatory registration of all participants. Please note that due to security requirements we will need the full name of each person attending at the time of booking. Also, you are required to have photo ID on the evening of the event. Anyone not on the guest list will be denied admission.

Thanksgiving Luncheon - October 11, 2020

Cancelled due to weather and anti-COVID restrictions.

This year we can't have our traditional Thanksgiving lunch at a restaurant, due to the need for physical distancing, but Canada's Ambassador to the Holy See, Isabelle Savard, has come to the rescue by offering the beautiful gardens of her Official Residence! 

Fine catering and buffet service will be provided by our favourite Canadian caterer, Sylvie of AYB, while guests can spread out in the open areas to eat and chat.

COVID-19 Safety Measures: In accordance with sanitary measures, participants are required to wear masks (nose and mouth coverings) at all times when not eating or drinking; when doing the latter they must maintain a distance of 1.5 m from each other unless they are members of the same household.

Welcome to our customary cocktail party to officially open the new Canadian Club of Rome season. H.E. Dennis A. Savoie, Canada's Ambassador to the Holy See, and Mme Claudette Savoie, CCR Patrons of Honour, have graciously offered the lovely garden of their Official Residence as the venue for our party.
