Big Friends, Big Cheer! - December 12, 2024

Here's another chance to clink our glasses to holiday cheer. This informal evening will take place at an eatery called "Big Friends" -- and there's certainly a plan in that name!

When: Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024

Time: 6 p.m.

Where: Big Friends Rome - Eat and Drink, Via Elvia Recina 27 (near Piazza Tuscolo; closest metro stops: San Giovanni and Re di Roma)

Cost: €10 for the aperitivo menu including one drink, a board with cold cuts (2 types) and cheeses (2 types), plus 2 different types of suppli. Vegetarians can also be accommodated. No host; you will pay the venue directly for the menu plus any extras you order.

Holiday Cheer Aperitivo - December 12, 2023

An informal get-together to chat and toast the season at a cocktail bar with a cozy vintage vibe. Just let us know whether we should save you a spot at our table!

When: Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023

Time: 6-8 p.m.

Where: Blackmarket Hall, Via de' Ciancaleoni 31 (Monti area)

Cost: "no host" (pay your own order). For example, their aperitif tasting combo is a plate of 5 assorted appetizers plus a choice of drink at a cost of €13 for the vegetarian option, €15 for the meat-based, and €16 for the seafood-based. Other options à la carte.

Holiday Cocktail-Making - December 17, 2020

Now we're combining a cocktail-making lesson with a chance to raise our glasses to the holiday season!

Riccardo Di Dio Masa, head bartender at Hotel Palazzo Montemartini, is going to give us a lesson in English, live online, on how to make two special drinks for CCR. One will be a "Tobago Daiquiri Zen" with rum, lime and exotic but warm spices and herbs and the other will feature Italian roots, combining such flavours as vermouth, hazelnut and orange in a "Milano-Torino" cocktail with a new twist.

We can then be very merry... and exchange our best wishes with everyone, both near and far!

Where: your kitchen; remote interactive lesson by Zoom

Cost: €10 for members. Advance payment required.
